Uxmal Court
Western Yucatán, Mexico
Uxmal is one of the most visited of the Mayan Ruins, it is
certainly the most well preserved Puuc-style city. This is
the Nunnery Quadrangle, and was named this because it reminded
visitors of a monastery. In it's day Uxmal was a major economic
center for the region and saw it's height around 1000 AD.
