1 Dead Tree

The Namib Desert is the western coast of Namibia. This photo was taken in a section called the Sossusvlei. The sand dunes can reach heights of over 1,200 feet and are among the largest in the world. The Sossusvlei is home to the Oryx or Gemsbok, an animal that has adapted to the harsh conditions of one of the driest places on earth, and can go up to 5 weeks without water.
